In the south of Costa Rica there’s a small, laidback, Afro-Caribbean town, which feels a bit like the Goa of Costa Rica, if you’re looking for a comparison: Puerto Viejo. Many (mainly European) expats decided to settle down in here and a lot of digital nomads are attracted by the town as well. All these influences create a different vibe – if only when it comes to restaurants – compared to that other bigger town of the Caribbean; Limón.
